Wij willen al onze voormalige en toekomstige gasten informeren over onze definitieve adreswijziging van ons oude adres; Calle 30 con 5ta avenida naar; Avenida Chemuyil con 28 de Julio.

Ons nieuwe adres is slechts een kort ritje uit het stads centrum (5th avenue) verwijderd en alle taxi chauffeurs zijn met de locatie bekend. Indien u gevraagd wordt om zich te specificeren kan u “La Toscana” noemen.

Ons telefoon nummer en verdere contact informatie blijft ongewijzigd, en onze activiteiten zullen volgens gebruikelijk schema plaatsvinden.

Wij zien ernaaruit on u in onze gloednieuwe installaties te ontvangen, en zullen op de hoogte houden over de ontwikkelingen van ons accommodatie complex.

 

No More 30th street!

We want to inform all of our past and future guests of our definite change from our old address; Calle 30 con 5ta avenida to our new address; Avenida Chemuyil con 28 de Julio.

The new address is only a short drive out of the city center (5th avenue) and all taxi drivers know the location. In case you are asked to specify you can do this by mentioning “La Toscana”

Our phone number and further contact information remains the same and all operations continue according to our schedules.

We’re looking forward receiving you in our brand new installations, and keep you posted on the progress of the accommodation.

NEW PROJECT

After a period full of preparations, we would like to present our newest project to all of our diving friends and people interested in our beautiful destination.

We’ve designed and started the construction of the first ‘one-stop shop’ in the area of Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya.

The brand new complex will consist of the following items:
- Its own swimming pool, designed for (advanced) diving instruction, as well as relaxing, with a max. depth of 3m/ 9ft.
- Lunch/ taco restaurant
- Dive shop
- Sanitary installations including multiple warm showers for after the diving.
- Classroom
- Apartments

Our new concept includes the organization of complete (and tailored) vacation packages.
We will arrange airport transfers and our accommodation will have a kitchenette with fridge/stove and bathroom per unit.
The setup will be detailed and adequate for a great vacation for a reasonable price.

We’ve seen a growing trend in people leaving the big, all-inclusive resorts and we can understand why.

We offer the food service in our onsite restaurant, you can dine in one of the many great places this town has to offer, or you can decide to keep the budget down and take matters in your own hands.. each apartment will have kitchen basics, a stove and a fridge.
We have an Oxxo store (similar to 7 eleven or a grocery store) as a neighbor and there are also big supermarkets close by.

The dive preparation will happen right on location and you will be ready to roll out after your freshly served complimentary breakfast.

Our doors will be wide open for anybody seeking a vacation in Playa del Carmen with the family and dive once or twice, dive groups/clubs planning an annual dive vacation, and other wishes in between.

The complex has its own parking area and we will assist you with our car rental concession in case you would like to rent a car. Also do we offer various land excursions through our own operator for very competitive rates, right from- and to the complex.

The new location will be a little out of Playa del Carmen’s “5th avenue area”, but we will provide a free pickup daily for our vacationing guests. If you don’t want to use this service, you can grab any of the plenty cabs and they will take you for about 3 usd right downtown.

We plan to be operational as of early april 2011, but more precise dates, photos and of course opening offers will follow soon.. make sure to check back soon!

No more 24th street..

After an expansion in 2008 we operated 2 stores, however since the beginning of this month we won’t maintain our initial location on the 24th street in Playa del Carmen.

Especially repetative guests, please make sure to update your address books to: Calle 30 con 5ta avenida, Downtown Playa del Carmen.

After a turbulent period of making arrangements, we are proud to announce that our official participation company “Orange Line Transportations” is now a fact.

Orange Line Transportations 'The easy way out'

Playa del Carmen counts since the beginning of this year with the strict local law which prohibits any company of any branch to provide touristic transportation, including PICKUPS and the actual TOURS without the explicit licensing and special service plates (Green and white plates stating: TURISMO). Especially the first meantioned service (guest pickups in the hotels) is strongly limited and excludes the use of all pickup trucks.

In the past few weeks there have been numerous cases of vehicle confiscation, (travellers aboard the vehicle) by the authorities when providers continued delivering their regular service, which caused very inconvenient situations for many people.

We considered that this is not the type of service we desire to offer, and therefore worked on the creation of a brand new company, entitled to transport anybody, anywhere within the republic.

Believing strongly in the importance of customer service, our initial policy continues to be respected; Diving is our passion, and we like to share it with you… from your hotel lobby and back.

Ask for your free hotel transportation from- and to your local hotel with an online reservation. Or be informed about our very competative rates for the resorts out of town.

Instructor Development Course January

We want to congratulate all of our 4 students; Eric, Octavio, Nathan & Carlos Mejia

All 4 have been very working hard for the past time to pass the training process and we are proud to announce that all have passed comfortably.

I was shocked to hear one of you guys couldn’t go for his IE this time due to medical reasons.

We welcome the other three for now, and fully support you to get well prepared into the next IE!

Hello to the new Diversity baby

We like to warmly congratulate Donovan & Nicole Byrd with the birth of their healthy baby boy called <B>Bryson Byrd<B/>

Donovan & Nicole first dove with us in january 2007 and she discovered that she had to quit her reservation because of a very welcome surprise; her long awaited pregnancy.

After ‘showing’ young Bryson Tortugas and Sabalos did she wisely decide to leave the diving for a little while up to Donovan.

After an exiting period Bryson made his appearance on October 6th 2007.

Being ‘officially’ our first Diversity baby, we decided to grant Bryson’s first water experience as the winning photo of last month’s photo contest held on our main page.
